The Centre for Civic Innovation supports people who want to make a difference in their community.
We offer them with the support, connections and skills to turn their ideas into on-the-ground initiatives. These include civic innovations, social enterprises, partnerships and not-for-profits that can address challenges and drive real change in their local areas.
Our local centres bring Australia’s innovation ecosystem and impact economy to your doorstep, and cultivate a network innovators for your community.
Why host a Centre?
Governments are under increasing pressure to do more with less. Meanwhile, many people feel isolated from each other, are out of work, or disheartened by social issues.
The Centre for Civic Innovation encourages shared responsibility and people who want to do something to address challenges in their community. We offer inspiration, support, and tools for hands-on civic participation.
Constructive engagement and civic innovation can reduce pressure on council services.
