Why CCI was established
Every day, all around Australia, ordinary people are solving problems that make a difference in their communities.
It is inspiring work. But that work often goes unnoticed. With few visible role models, many Australians who would like to jump in and have a go, do not know where to begin or how to gain access to those with experience and expertise.
This means that good experiences rarely get shared and great ideas that could make a difference for communities never see the light of day and are lost forever.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if the goodwill in a community was available to people who need it. CCI is committed to making sure that this happens.
What CCI does
CCI aims to help those who want to make a difference in their community turn their ideas and energy into action. We will help you to:
Shape your idea: Partner with you to help identify the gaps that you can respond to, shape and develop your ideas into something that will work in the real world.
Make it happen: Work with you to plan the things you need to do to make your idea happen and really make it count – from navigating red-tape and getting started, to providing advice on the type of organisational structures and funding you will need and how you can measure your success.
Maximise your impact: Help you learn the key skills and build the confidence you need, measure your socioeconomic impact and share the lessons you have learned to mentor the next generation of social innovators.
